CED is providing Technical Support to KRWSA and Suchitwa Mission for the Management Second Generation Sanitation needs of the State, Solid Waste and Liquid Waste Management. Under the project ‘Consultancy to Provide Technical Assistance to Suchithwa Mission and KRWSA in the Implementation of Rural Sanitation’,
The activities of URJA KIRAN 2016-17 is starting with Energy Conservation Rallies (one each in all the 140 Assembly Constituencies of Kerala) on December 14 in connection with the Energy Conservation Day.
CED conducted the CAPSULE I Training for the officers of Urban Local Bodies of Rajasthan. The training was part of the AMRUT program of Government of India.

Centre for Environment and Development, Thiruvananthapuram (CED) is the Centre of Excellence (CoE) of Ministry of Urban Development, Government of India on“Solid Waste and Wastewater Management”. The main objective of the CoE is to develop (i) Strategy and Framework for Solid Waste Management (SWM) and Wastewater Management (WWM) in the Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) of India (ii) Capacity Building and Training to different target groups and (iii) Establishment of a Knowledge Centre on Solid Waste and Wastewater Management.
